Is there an alternative to Snappis other than pins? Just curious.

Thanks in advance!

diaper covers : )

I never used snappis or pins because the covers held the prefolds in place just fine. (Bummis sww)

If you fasten the wrap pretty snug, it will often hold the diaper in place on its own.

Oops, I should have elaborated (but thanks for your replies). I do use covers when we leave the house (or even an Earth's Best sposie) but at home my son is usually cover free and just wears a shirt and cloth diaper (doubled).

Anything else I can use to fasten it? I just find that the Snappis often get caught on my clothing while holding him.

Have you tried using pins? We store ours in a bar of soap, so they slide through the fabric easily. We exclusively use pins, it's quite easy to get the hang of it IMO.

When we use prefold we use a prefold belt... (it basically is an elastic with cloth around it that you put the prefold under... think Sumo )

Oh thank you I hadn't heard of the belt nor the pin/soap trick- thank you both!

In South America, masking tape! Also can sew on velcro, but velcro probably doesn't last as long as a prefold.
