So I can hardly believe it is already SEPTEMBER!
Before we know it the summer will be really over! The time is just flying, and the pounds are coming off!

We've gotten a lot of new ladies this month, lets all help keep each other accountable as we reach our goals! We love to see progress pictures, so don't be afraid to share, this is a no judgment zone!

This is our official accountability thread!
If you want to be added to the roll, let me know your info and I will get you listed. And of course, let me know any changes you want made to your listing by posting in bold. We want to share your success with you!
If you have any links to tips, recipes or exercise you want to share, I will post that too.

Subbing!

Welcome Hannah! Good luck with your goals!

So ladies, as you know I've been swamped with, uh, everything . So, I haven't been keeping strict track of my points, or even journaling much this last week, but I am trying to be cognizant of what I'm eating. I've been really, not necessarily surprised, (but taken aback perhaps?) at the extent of my emotional eating. So, I've been working on that.

Scale is being kind to me thus far since I started the points counting/portion control though. My weight for the last couple of days has been between 187 and 188 (not that you have to change anything Amanda, gonna wait another pound or two I think). I've been checking every few days now . I've never been one to watch the scale like that but now I just, am. Indeed it is helping. I want to get a digital scale. I should have just spent the ten extra dollars the first time .

Last night I went out with my girlfriend for a much needed break of the monotony of WOHM, school, WOHM, school. We had some delicious Thai food and I'm thinking I kept myself in check but I swear that food was too delicious to have not gone over the calorie-counting edge! Plus I had a nice handful of chocolate chips once I got home . Hopefully the week will still be kind to me .

I hope to get back in the swing of writing down all food/drink this week.

148.4 today! not my 148.2 from 2 days ago, but what is .2lbs really?? i just can't believe i am in the 140's! and even better, because today my sweet baby boy turns 6 months old! I know I wanted to reach 150 by a year, but I am so glad I was able to do it in 6 months! Hopefully I can be 135 by a year! We'll see.

Welcome Hannah!
I love when new people join in, we've gotten a good group going over here. I noticed our list is full of people who don't really check in anymore- so I think in a few days I'll go through July/August's thread and clean it up a bit of those who haven't updated us in awhile.

I'm eating a deep chocolate vitatop. mmmmm, seriously I love vitatops so much. If you haven't had one yet- do. you will not regret it, only 100 calories, filled with fiber and protien and a bunch of vitamins.

Amanda, how much was your pre-preg weight? Like, a healthy non-preg weight for you? My weight loss pattern *normally* is to drop a lot in the first 6 months and then hang onto 10 lbs until I'm at 15 months or so post partum, and then I drop the rest of it without doing anything different. I think that's when my milk changes over.

Hello all you September mamas, and welcome Hannah! Did a good two hour walk yesterday with extra walking thrown in that I'm not counting because it was more like sauntering than walking. But today I'm up a pound. Grr. I suspect it's because I ate mostly bread yesterday & am pretty sure it causes me to retain water. Today will be different, if only because there's not much bread left now, lol!

We bought 20 pounds of tomatoes from a local, organic supplier, so today I've got to figure out what to do with them before they spoil. I think the easiest thing to do would just be to make a base tomato sauce that I can package up and freeze and then add veggies/meat etc to later on as needed. Unless any of you have a better suggestion? I'm not up for canning them though. Way too labour intensive.

Welcome Hannah!

Did my first level 2 30 day shred workout yesterday but then wiped it out with a Chuao Melao Frappe. Which tastes like melted chocolate. I have no idea how many calories are in there but I think it was dessert for the month. Loved every sip of it and wil not beat myself up about it. Today I am not feeling so great but am going to try and push through a workout anyway. The batteries are dead in the scale. I ned to replace them and see where I am. Yes, I weigh everyday.

Well, pre-pregnancy I was around 175, but that was also only 15 months postpartum from my daughter. I was actually trying to lose the weight from that pregnancy (and the one before that haha) when I got pregnant with my son! So that is definitely NOT a healthy weight for me. I am about 5'5" (okay, 5' 4.5" to be exact, but i take that half inch very seriously!) so a "healthy" weight for me is around 120-150lbs. That being said, I do have wide hips and broad shoulders, probably a medium frame, and I was 135-140 in high school, and I considered myself average/thin back then. Right now I am right about at my pre-pre-pregnancy weight. (aka my pre- 2 year old weight)

Its funny that you said that, because in my last pregnancy I noticed something similar. I gained about 50lbs and got up to 200, and then dropped the first 20lbs in a month, then held onto weight- could not lose it at all. I actually gained 10lbs around the 6 month mark by not doing anything different at all. I then luckily was able to lose some of it right around the time she was a year old, but then like I said, got to 175 at 15 months and got pregnant again- where I got up to 220lbs! So yeah, 148lbs feels pretty dang good right now- but I still will be MUCH happier at 135, and I think my body will let me get there. DS is still exclusively breastfed, including at night- so i'm not sure if that will effect weight loss. Either way, I've come to the point where if I don't lose another pound, I will not be too horribly disappointed (as long as I don't gain!) since my BMI is just barely in the "normal" range!

Speaking of which- how tall is everyone? Just curious..
Amanda, I'm 5 ft 5, so same range over here!

I'm kind of down right now because I did something weird to my knee, so I am out of commission for exercise now.

I'm 5'7". 145 is great for me. 137-140 is quite thin on me. But I'll take that 140 and allow myself some wiggle room .

BTDT and I know how much it sucks. I slipped in the shower and screwed up my knee a week after I got really serious about losing this weight. I had started running again and everything .

I'm 5'7". I know 137 is a good weight for me, but I would love to lose another 5 to 10 pounds.

I know how you feel, too. Back at the beginning of August, I threw my back out and can't seem to get back to the same exercise level I was at pre injury.

Okay I'm in. My name is PJ, I'm 5'5" and I currently weigh 155 pounds. I gained about 50 pounds in my pregnancy, and weighed 127 lbs pre-pregnancy. I'd like to get down to 125, so I need to lose 30lbs. My baby was born end of May, so three months ago. I went up 2 sizes during my pregnancy, which means I'm still limited to my maternity clothes. I refuse to buy new clothes in the bigger size because I'm not giving in to the weight gain!! Up to now I've done almost nothing to lose the weight.

Just this last week I realized it's time to get serious about it though. I ate way too much sugar when pregnant and now I've drastically reduced it down to about once a week, if that. I'm in a postpartum fitness course, and only yesterday finally started doing some training at home on the exercise ball. I also have decided to reduce carbs and stop snacking in the evening.

I am 5 ft 4.5 in.

Welcome PJ!

and thanks for the new thread Amanda!

Welcome Hannah and PJ!!

This is just one of those crappy days!! I broke out in hives for the 4th time this year with no detectable reason. They are all over my abdomen, thighs and backside. Couldn't work out because they are all inflamed and itching. It just seems like the last month has been nothing but one illness after another over here. So anyways...

Yay September!!! Here's to the promise of a new month. So many of you mamas are doing so well with your weight loss! I am impressed and, I have to say, a little jealous but certainly happy for you all
