how much vinegar?

My prefolds have no smell but my microfiber soakers do. I am washing and drying them exactly the same so I'm going to try vinegar but not sure how much to add to the wash or when. I currently do a cold rinse no soap, hot wash/cold rinse cycle with soap and then another cold rinse.

I put some in the fabric softener tray on my front loader. So I just fill to the fill line. It looks like a tablespoon or so...

If you are using the vinegar as a treatment to try and strip the microfiber inserts, I would use about 1/4c. But for what it's worth, once microfiber gets stinky it can be really hard to fix. Many mamas find they have to resort to soaking/washing the microfiber in bleach to get the stink out. It loves to hold on to things! Stripping them with Dawn dish detergent and bleach is a well known routine. I have heard that a soak in a combination of vinegar and oxygen bleach (not chlorine bleach!) works wonders too, though I have never tried that myself.
I hope you figure out something soon. Microfiber stink is the worst!
