Yeah, if we use an OB it isn't nearly so bad. Just whatever our copay is.

The way the midwives here work, is that you pay them their fee (the last one's fee was $4800) in installments. Then after the birth, they (or you) file a claim with the insurance, and the insurance reimburses you. Supposedly.

I have:
-sore breasts
-insomnia (getting better because Im taking my Bcomplex and Cal/Mag an hour before I want to go to sleep)
-emotional and weepy about sentimental things - super mama bear protective and totally unable to deal with any BS from people right now.
-Im a heat factory
-craving red meat (havent eaten read meat since last pregnancy and before that it was almost a decade) and tomato based things.. mmm san marzano tomato sauce
- super nose
- had a little cramping last week when I let myself get dehydrated, but nothing since
- Not nauseous, but my tummy hasnt felt the greatest when I wake up.
-tastebuds totally out of whack

My symptoms so far -
mild nausea when my stomach is empty,
sore breasts,
hungry, *constantly!!*,
can't sleep well, wake up hungry several times.. then sleep in too long. :|
slight feeling of uterine tightness/ cramping/ stretching.

So far, that's it. oh and a grumpy husband so worried about finances he's basically checked out for the time being. Thats normal for me too I guess.

Oh and also - melasma. I get the 'mask of pregnancy' before I even test positive, every time.

Have you tried upping your b6 and zinc for the melasma? I've known a few women personally that this has helped. You can probably google more info.

Oh I like this thread!

My symptoms : 5 weeks today!

1. Tired
2. Hungry - like belly growling hungry very often
3. Extremely thirsty
4. I get those sharp stabbing pain things in my uterus if I turn or get up to quickly
5. Twingy/crampy off and on
6. Nausea off and on
7. Very weepy and emotional...I can cry at the drop of a hat now (last week I cried when I thought two characters on Bones were going to die even though I KNEW they weren't....I BAWLED like a baby!!!)
8. Bloated

Those are the main ones! I can't wait to see how things progress! By 8 weeks with DD I was full out :Puke every single day...eww.

I have been supplementing my b6 and zinc already, to prevent morning sickness. I always get the melasma - it doesn't really bother me or cause anything else. So.. Thanks for the thought, tho.

This seriously made me LOL! Now I feel like watching Bones...

I think that's seriously the only symptom that hasn't happened yet for me. Which is good, because I'd feel bad for DH!

I had a blood test today (usually that's the protocol when you have been infertile), and my beta was 456, which is great for 16 dpo! I go in on Saturday to do it again, and the numbers should double. Saturday can't come fast enough!

And great beta's! I've been struggling with fertility as well and had betas at 132DPO and 15DPO...my first was 133 and second was 402 I think things are going really well this time!

I'm just really tired and hungry. I get the normal cramps that feel like AF too, but that's about it. After my first babe by boobs don't really get sore anymore and I don't get morning sickness, but I'm careful to eat something every couple of hours and gets lots of protein so I believe that helps a lot. If I scrimp on the protein at any time during pg I feel really heavy and get dizzy like I'm going to pass out.

The only symptom that I am experiencing is feeling exhausted all of the time. I've never had any symptoms other than being extremely tired in any of my pregnancies. I guess I got super lucky.

Anyone else NOT hungry? I don't feel naseous but don't feel like eating either. I just eat small sized meals every couple hours and try to fit in all the good stuff like protein, veggies and whole grains, but except for dinner where I feel a little hungrier, the last few days I had to remind myself to eat.

Other symptoms:
Tired but I am always tired.
Waking up very early like 4am and not being able to sleep
Craving very spicy food- can't get enough Tabasco and Siracha sauce!!
Twinges and pulls in back and hips
Hotter and thirstier than normal. And I only want to drink water which I usually have to force myself to do.
Heavy full breasts not so much pain this time as my first pregnancy though.

Good to hear what everyone else is feeling to compare to!

Feels like I had more symptoms the first time around but then again I'm not sure if they started right away or not.

This time I'm feeling:
More tired most of the time.
Very slight sensations down there or in my back, this was constant with my first pregnancy.
Emotional, I seem to almost cry over anything child/baby related I watch/read.
Boobs hurt.

I was expecting a change in appetite since I was ravenous last time around. This time I'm also nursing so I thought that'd make it even more so.

5 weesk 3 days and the nausea has really started to kick in now...still not bad (I have never had vomiting in previous pregnancies, and hoping I don't this time!), but definitely more noticeable than a few days ago, where it was so mild it could just as easily have been in my head.

Fatigue also is hitting. And my nipples are still wicked sore. My 2 year old is nursing less It's hot here and I have been throwing whatever fluids he's willing to drink at him, so maybe when the weather cools, he'll pick up the pace on the nursing again.

My nipples are killing me too...have been for like 2.5 weeks now. They hurt around ovulation time,and then stopped for a week and then started up again. It's worse when I get chilly! And they are *ALWAYS* popped out! I think they have grown too..and DH agrees (very happily! )

I'm 5 weeks 2 days and the peeing more has kicked in. I seem to go a lot more than normal. Every time I drink something I have to go!

Feeling more and more tired too. Want to nap every day but can't with DD as she doesn't nap.....ahhhh.

I'm def peeing a lot....and my lower back has been hurting for over a week!

It still doesn't feel real! I can't wait to see my little one on the u/s! 33 more days!

I know I'll kick myself for saying this but I'm cherishing every symptom as confirmation that I'm actually pregnant because I'm still so excited and in disbelief!

I have:
-frequent urinating
-waking up early and not being able to get back to sleep easily
-higher than normal body temps (hubby said I was really warm to the touch)
-my aching BOOBS!
-a little nausea but that could be because I had a weak moment of cookie eating before dinner
-fried pregnancy brain (anyone else feel STUPID suddenly?! Didn't think that would happen so soon!)
-not super interested in food
-increased sense of smell
