I just read Steve Martin's new novel "The Pleasure of My Company" and I was so happy to see a nice but matter of course reference to a toddler nursing. (Yes, it is Steve Martin the actor) Two characters in the book are this mom and her 1 + year old toddler. For half the book it doesn't even mention how she was feeding him and then there is suddenly a mention of her breastfeeding him. It is the only sentence in the book that talks about her breastfeeding and I thought it was so great because the feeling I got was well, of course she is breastfeeding her toddler, doesn't everybody? It gives me hope that someday that will really be the case.
It made me smile, so I thought I would share it with the rest of you wonderful lactivists!

Now that I have two kids though, I can read and block out noise better than I can try to listen to the book over the noise of two kiddos. LOL I guess it doesn't help that I'm half deaf in one ear!
