So here is a short version of my birth story lol. I finally find a midwife that delievers in the hospital, cause in Alaska after 42 weeks you can not deleiver at home. Thats what my midwife before kept telling me. Anyways I go in for an apt on August 30th at 12 noon. She checks me and I am 2.5cm at 42+3weeks. She gets me a room at the hospital cause she thinks my bag is no longer there. Which would have broken last Sunday. When we get there she inserts a pill to get me in labor around 4pm and I have to be monitored for atleast 2 hours and the pill is suppose to take 4 hours to work. She tells me another midwife will deliver the baby cause she has been up 24hours and that they will check me again at 9:30pm. I get some contractions and hoping this works. The other midwife doesn't show till 10pm and says I am at a 3/4cm and that she feels a bag. She breaks my bag of waters and tells me I can get in the shower. Which it was a shower and bathroom all together, weird lol. I got to sit on the birthing ball, stand up, lay down on my right side, and then sit on the shower chair before the midwife tells me I should lay down on the bed on my side and the baby should come right out. So as I am getting up to head that way I am holding on my doula and tell everyone she is coming. They tell me she isn't and to hurry to the bed but I was not moving anywhere. She came out at that moment while I was screaming my head off. Luckly they were all right there to catch her and hand her to me. She was in my arms an hour after they broke my water. It was so intense that right before I got up from the shower chair I asked my husband to give me something for the pain cause I needed a break. But ofcourse that didn't happen cause she came as soon as I stood up. I am so glad this is my last child lol. No more for me. It felt more painful then my home waterbirth. Anyways that is pretty much it lol.
She is now 6 days old and glad she is finally here.
