I also have a question. Does anyone else have really young children that they take with them to meetings. I have a 1 yo and 3.5yo. The 1yo usually sleeps in his stroller during the meeting, but I'm finding it really challenging to keep my dd busy. Last week a really nice lady at my meeting who had seen me struggling previous weeks, brought some toys and sat on the floor and helped entertain dd, which was super nice. I think the novelty of the toys really helped engage her. I just wondered if anyone else had any suggestions. I have been bringing markers and paper, stickers, and books, but since its the same old stuff dd has seen before, she is never interested in the things I bring.
I always went late so I weighed in after the meeting started and entered the room after all the intros were done and they were into the week's talk. That made it 20 minutes total we were there. I kept my toddler in my front pack and my son just had to live through it since he never wanted toys. I would have liked to have continued going once I made lifetime, but it's just too hard with little ones.

Just re-started today at home. I've got all my materials from the last 2 times I did the program, so doing it at home is easier.

So far within points today - I did forget and eat some chocolates though.

Hi All-
new to this group and I joined WW (again) Thursday.

My biggest problem is not getting to the gym (I think). I went back to work almost full time and I can't get to the gym as much as I used too. I weighed 115 in high school and I am 170 at weigh in at WW (What happened!)

I am/was very physically active- train and ran 2 marathons.

I provide primary care to the homeless (love my job). I tell each and every person "if you are here at noon you are welcome to join our walking group" Every lunch break I will go and coach a c25K program with whoever wants to join. My obese co-worker has lost 20 lbs and I have gained! I am so proud of her but when do I loose the weight?

I am so frustrated!

Part of my problem is I am a vegetarian and if I can't pronounce a food ingrediant then I won't eat it. I can't get my protein in if I am not supplementing with protein drinks and bars which add large # of points . I have my own chickens and when they aren't laying then I can't eat eggs. I avoid dairy (vegan but will eat my chicken eggs because they are pets and treated kindly).

Today we ran 3 miles and I am hoping to go on a 20 mile bike ride tomorrow because the weather will be spectacular which is actually a light Saturday for me.

Perhaps someone can review my diet:
breakfast- 3 egg white with 4 vegetable sausages and flax seed wrap: 5 points
lunch: protein bar- 4 points
snack: protein drink through out the day: 4 points
dinner: potato: 3 points
16 points total minus the run: 2 =14

Why am I not loosing weight (Labs are normal) Help- I am so disgusted

Groovy - you need to eat more points. You're not eating enough which is making your loss stall. Have you done the point quiz to see how many points you need to eat? I'm guessing you should be somewhere in the 20's - the lowest is 18 so either way it needs to go higher.

Your leader should also have an handout for vegetarians that will help too.

groovy, what about using beans or nuts as protein? Instead of lunch being a protein bar, I would make a large salad topped with tons of veges and chickpeas. For dinner, I would add in some more veges with the potato as well as some sunflower seeds or homemade vegetarian chili. How about adding in some fruit? I'm not sure what is in season where you are, but right now we have local oranges and papayas I have been adding in at lunch. I'm a vegetarian too, and find the WW plan fits in really well with my love for whole grains, vegetables, fruits. I really haven't had to change too much WHAT I was eating, but I did have to adjust the quantity (I was eating two or three portions of things)

i agree with frugalmama- 16 points seems way too low. I would not aim to eat less than your a points needed- eat those points exactly. Don't be afraid to eat. Best of luck to you.

It looks like you're not eating a lot of real food. Where are the vegetables? Fruit? You're also not eating enough points for WW.

I've managed to ignore tracking for about a week. Weight stayed the same. Didn't lose or gain. I'm going to get back "on plan" today.

Hi everyone...

I'm brand new to WW, just signed up today. This is the first time I've ever done any type of weight loss plan and I am hoping to stay motivated! I'm nursing a 9 month old and also a "dietary" vegan, so those are my challenges.

I think you'll find ww pretty veg friendly. Beans, vegetables, and fruits are very filling for not a lot of points. I do eat meat, but on the occasions where I eat meatless I do get to eat more volume for the pts.

I'm also nursing though my little guy is a bit older than your nursling. I use the extra 5 Pts for partime nursing instead of the 10 for exclusive nursing and so far I've lost weight every week while feeling very satisfied with the amount of food.

I also wanted to post on my progress. This week I lost 1.8 lbs, though it may have been slightly more, I realized after I weighed that I forgot to empty my pockets and their were several dollars in quarters in there. I have now lost a total of 6.4 lbs since starting WW (I had already lost about 10lbs before I started WW). I also dropped down below 160 so I did lose a pt for being in the 150-159 range.

I am going to get back on track with the October thread. It has been hard for me this last month as I have been going through some difficult times and my eating has gone through the roof. Comfort foods mostly

I have basically been paying for it online, and not using it.
