I'm selling our ginormous travel system stroller, that we hardly used, and planning on buying an umbrella stroller.

is a maclaren worth the price? I found a britax blink stroller for great price and was curious if anyone had anything to say about it. also on my list are the baby jogger city micro and chicco liteway.

I just want something for short trips to the zoo and walking to the park so huge basket is not a necessity.

We've really enjoyed our Mclaren. So light that even I can take it out and set it up my self, but really sturdy too.

I don't think you'll regret the Maclaren. They're like tanks AND they hold their value--if you're not going to have another baby you'll be able to sell it on at a reasonable price.

I have the britax blink (also traded my big travel system for it) and love love love it! I use it 2 times every day at least (to take the middle kiddo to school and pick him up) and I love how you can use the carry strap, it folds really easy and does great over different terrain. I tried gravel, grass, pea gravel, and wood chips no problem.
This is taken from a previous post I put on mdc
O.K. So I got my Blink stroller today and had to take it for a test drive.
Things I like-
Folds/unfolds easily
strolls very nicely
narrow
Drives great over grass, pea gravel, wood chips
DD loves it!

Cons-
A little heavy for a umbrella stroller but not bad
seat cover doesn't easily come off for washing (although it looks like of you take off a few screws you could wash it)

Over all I am really pleased with it. The handles are nice and high so you aren't bending over and with how they have the handles angled it doesn't hurt my wrist (I have carpel tunnel)
When we pulled up at the park I asked DD if she wanted to play and she said "no walk" lol

I got mine from Diapers.com and called them and they gave me a coupon code. I got mine for only 89.00. I don't know if it is still on sale there as it was a couple months ago but it is a great stroller IMO.

Any other questions about it let me know.

awesome thanks! I found a maclaren on craigslist in good condition, but if that falls through I'll be getting a blink from albeebaby.com - they're $89 right now there too - for certain prints anyway

LOVE my Maclaren. I've been using it for 4 years now and 3 years ago it somehow lost a wheel. It is still awesome! My 4yo and my 1yo take turns pushing each other in it

My friend has a Maclaren! I use a cheap little 15 year old umbrella that I picked up for next to nothing. I saw hers and have coveted it ever since! It's super easy to fold up, even while holding a toddler. It steers with one hand,, the handles are taller (than mine anyway) and she didn't have to stoop to reach them. She got hers for $50 secondhand (craigslist) and I really want one! When we have the money in the budget I will be getting one. With a baby on the way I'm going to need something that doesn't take two hands, even while babywearing an infant.

We have the city mini which I believe is similar to the micro in its features. I love it! The straps are easily adjustable and you can't beat the quick release folding feature.
HTH!

I got a grey Maclaren Volo from Albee Baby 3 years ago, on sale for $79.99 I think, primarily for travel. I LOVE IT, and it's our only stroller now.

So light, so easy to fold, and tough enough to hold the big kid still (I think they're rated to something like 55 pounds?)

It's small enough folded that it can just live in the car trunk when it needs to... it's great going through airport security... and both my kids love to ride in it.

Only annoyance: if you hang anything off the handles, it falls over once the kid gets up. But that goes along with the Maclaren design and the tiny weight of the stroller itself.

If you'll used it often (and for future kiddos) the Maclaren is great. We have the Triumph and love that it can recline when DD is sleeping and has the basket underneath. Sturdy and easy to fold up. You can find great deals online and like PP said- the resale value is pretty good.

We got the City Mini by Baby Jogger and I absolutely love it! I mainly bought it for our trip in August (flew alone with DS from MT to Greece) and this stroller saved me It folds very easily (with one hand while I was holding DS in my other arm) and it looks great. Totally worth the money. Also is very light & I love the sun shade that comes all the way down. My 15-month-old has taken many naps in this stroller while on our vacation. Hope this helps.

Here is the video that convinced me lol

We have the Maclaren Techno XT and love it. The best thing for us the the extra tall extendable haldles as DH is tall. but the convenice of a small stroller. It pushes really well and we haven't had any tipping problems, even with bags on the handles as some reviews say.

i got it off ebay, new, but an older year model.
