Breast tenderness after introducing solids?

My LO is almost 8 months old and has adamantly refused solids up until about a week or a week and a half ago. Now she wants something solid a couple times a day. I indulge her a little bit especially since she has a cold and is completely stuffed up and is having trouble nursing because she can't breathe.

So my question - will increasing solids from a couple times a week to at least once a day cause my breasts to be super tender? I'm not leaking alot and she still nurses every couple hours - this doesn't seem quite right. Oh and I have taken a pregnancy test and its negative. We're ok if I become pregnant - in fact I'd be happy if we were again but I don't think that's the culprit.

Probably won't cause your breasts to be super tender............
I would say to offer the breast before each solid foods feeding, wait 10-20 minutes before offering solids, and then wait a bit before offering the breast again. Remember that for the first year, solid food is for playing with, and your milk is for the nutrition. Feeding your LO solids every day shouldn't make your breasts tender if it's in addition to a nursing, but might make them more tender if it's instead of a feeding.
I wonder if the stuffiness of your LO is the "culprit." Have you tried to relieve the stuffiness? Nasal mist, breastmilk, and a humidifier might help.............

Could it be that you're getting slightly engorged because she is eating solids?
