DD loves the "wheels on the bus" song and has been singing the verse "the baby on the bus goes wah wah wah" with much drama several times a day.

Today, she added a new verse:

"the baby on the bus goes nurse nurse nurse, nurse nurse nurse, baby does nursing all through town!"

DD is not a singer, but...

While on our cruise in June, that chipmunk movie played over and over in our cabin. She still talks about being in the 'hotel room' and watching TV.

Anyway, for some reason she went through a phase shortly after where she sung Beyonce's "all the single ladies" (from the movie) whenever you threw her up in the air. It was quite random.

She would modify the verses:

All the single chipmunks...
All the single babies...
All the single mommies...
All the single daddies...

Put your hands up. Oh, oh oh ooh...

The funniest part was when she would say something like, "if you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it."

"Hey jood. Hey jood." and then repeated, in a whisper.

We love

Baby Shark, I saw a lot of videos for it on youtube but not really for how we do it.

All those years at CampFire camp really paid off in silly songs to sing my kids.

Recently my dd was singing the wheels on the bus.

DD: "Oh no! There's a dog in the road! (singing) The people on the bus go bumpity-bump, bumpity-bump, bumpity-bump..."

The horn verse was SUPPOSED to be next, to scare the dog away...

DS has a tendency to sing in such a high falsetto that I'm not always sure what words he's singing.

But this thread brought to mind one night when DS kept saying no to every song I started to sing to him...he wasn't interested in any of his faves (Wheels on the Bus, Old McDonald, Goldilocks, etc.). On top of this, he was just acting kinda fussy. In a last ditch attempt to cheer him up and get him settled down, I asked if I should sing "Little Mousie PooPoo Head" - a song title that I just made up on the spot. DS paused in his fake crying and then said "yeah" he wanted to hear Little Mousie PooPoo Head. He called my bluff so I tenderly started singing about Little Mousie PooPoo Head. I didn't get further than just repeating the title twice before DH and I dissolved into hysterical laughter. Of course, seeing DH and I laughing cheered DS right up and the rest of bedtime went smoothly .

Ha! I'm not allowed to make up new verses. Once I tried "the daddies on the bus say I love you" and it caused a screaming fit. "NOOOOOO! MOMMMMMIES SAY IIIIIIIT!"

I have also been guilty of reading DD's mind improperly and failing to sing exactly the verse she wants at that moment.
