King Richard's Faire discount?

My son really wants to go to King Richard's Faire this year. He wants to dress up and everything (it's thrilling to see him really understand the whole experience.)

Trouble is, admission is just too expensive. Even with the $2 off coupons that you can sometimes find, I can't afford it.

Does anyone know of a substantial discount or way of getting comp tickets?
(Feel free to send me a pm about it.)

Thank you!

If you had said this yesterday, Groupon had a discount where the tickets were $15 apiece, but it was just available then. If it comes up again, I will let you know.

Last year my dh got comp tickets on ebay. You can always try there.

Two things I can think of are:

-Contacting them and see if you can volunteer in some capacity in exchange for comp tickets

-See if you can get a group together and ask for a large-group discount

Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions.

I can't volunteer (I have a special needs child and I'm not close enough to the fair to go there on two separate occasions).

I'll see if any of the groups I belong to are doing a group discount. I highly doubt it because we're not exactly local.

The only other way I know of to score tickets is if you have friends at the Faire....employees often get free tickets to give their friends. But I'll definitely keep watching GroupOn to see if there are more.
