I'm making my first attempt at sprouted wheat flour bread, and after over an hour, the dough isn't rising. The recipe I used was pretty simple, and seemed fool-proof..just 4 c. sprouted flour, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 package yeast, 4 tbsp. butter, 4 tbsp. maple syrup, and 2 c. water. Any idea what I did wrong? Can I save it? I'm pretty bummed out, bc I consider myself to be a pretty efficient bread-maker lol

Could the water have been too hot?-- you may have killed the yeast.
Could the yeast be expired?-- it loses its vitality over time
Could the room be too cool?-- that will slow the rise down a lot
The recipe you're using is nearly exactly similar to how I make mine-- and mine rises, but it takes about two hours for the first rise.
