How do YOU envision your day to day life to be?

I think many of us get caught up in the day to day rush and business to really sit back and enjoy time as if you were on vacation... I am at a point in my life where I am on maternity leave, I'm settled into my role, and have quite some time before I go back to work (another thing to settle back into) and before I turn 30! I was thinking the other day that I'm not particularly picky when it comes to vacation, all I know is that when I arrive at my "destination", whether it be someplace hot, exotic, or just a simple hotel, it just "feels" like a vacation, even if its just a weekend away.

I've decided to create this feeling daily, so that everyday is like a vacation "feel". My kids are still young, theres no helping with homework everyday, and I really think I can do it, and maybe inspire others to do the same. As simple as a person as I am, I still enjoy life's luxuries; I like to sit and have a cappucino every night with my husband and indulge in some fancy chocolate, sit in the backyard and listen to classic music.

I guess aside from envisioning myself exercising in the mornings, having a tidy house, having some kind of "flow" to my day, I'm wanting to know what other people envision as a perfect ideal day to day life of relaxation amongst all the business.

I hope this makes sense, I've tried to word it as best as I can. Hope I get some good feedback!

Love this thread/idea

My perfect day would include little, peaceful pitstops along the way. Things that come to mind:

- Snuggling in bed with baby or hubby for 5 minutes before getting up
- Kissing my spouse for at least 10 seconds every day
- Having my spouse drop everything and pay attention to me only for 5-10 minutes
- Drinking mint green tea with honey outside as the sun comes up (AMAZING - I used to do this every morning)
- Keeping a gratitude journal - write 5 things every day you are grateful for
- Take 5 minutes for a foot bath - warm water, splash of lemon, lavendar baby oil? You'd be surprise how it calms you down
- **Take time to just breathe and connect to the earth
- I really would love to do yoga every morning
- Take a walk everyday
- Any routine can feel peaceful -- my mom's favorite part of her day is that right before bed she puts a spoon, mug, and paper towel on the counter so she is all ready for her coffee in the morning. It's there waiting for her. It's a little ritual that tells her "this day is over, well done, and the next one will be good."
- If you go to the gym, ours has a "meditation room" and I just sit there for a few minutes after showering (you can just pick a spot/room in your house that is for this...just a little corner with a plant, nice light, and not too much else, where you can sit and reflect
- When baby goes for a nap, stop everything, zoom out of the crazy house/day, and just go sit in a chair, light a candle, and relax
- Have a exercise ritual, like a run, a walk etc. that you do at the same time
- Do something nice for someone else (some small, unexpected surprise)
- ALLOW yourself to have "do nothing" time like you do on vacation -- poor yourself something refreshing to drink, go sit outside, close your eyes, soak up the sun. Or go lay in the grass under a shady tree. Or in cold weather curl up on the couch with a blanket and hot cocoa and dream away!!!
- *The biggest one is prayer/meditation. Have SEVERAL times a day where you zoom out from the world and zoom into your self/your inner self connected to God.

It's the small things that make the rest of the day worth it

Not sure if these ideas are what you are looking for, but they sound nice to me. Just hope I can integrate more of them in.
