Question about nutritional yeast??

I recently ordered KAL nutritional yeast flakes, LOVE them!!!!! I wanted to find nutritional yeast powder, and was hoping to find the KAL brand..but all I came up with was KAL's 'imported yeast fine flakes'. Does anyone know if this is actually nutritional yeast, or if it's brewer's yeast? Thanks a million in advance!!

This doesn't answer your question, but are you wanting it for the B vitamins? My mom read that you actually need large amounts to really get any B, anyone else hear that? So they and we switched to a liquid B complex.

I use it to add a 'cheese' flavor to foods, as I'm vegan.
