Weird question, but my midwife is stumped, too - Page 2

Just to further clarify emphasize...something like 25-30% of pregnant and postpartum women have hypothyroid. For me, being even as high as "3" (a good level is anything between 1 and 2 TSH) I can begin to have hand pain. But upping my dose of synthroid in just a matter of days will resolve the pain.

I haven't had arthritic symptoms in my hands, but I would swear I had arthritis in my pelvis. Seriously, it has been SUPER stiff and painful in the classic arthritic way where with motion it improves, but does not go away. My MW recommended homeopathic Rhus tox. which is for "joint pain improved by motion, worsened by rest and humidity." A friend also recommended DHA. I hadn't been taking my fish oil, so one night took 3g (yes, grams) of fish oil and several doses of Rhus tox. The next day, I was SHOCKED to get up from sitting and not be in massive pain.

My friend who suggested the DHA did say there were other things to do (perhaps mag or cal/mag) but b/c I've been dealing with low blood pressure they wouldn't all be good for me.

FWIW, I know I have major adrenal fatigue and there is probably some associated thyroid issue with that. So it's really interesting to see the thyroid mentioned. This is my 4th pregnancy, I'm also 29, and have never had THIS type of pain before.
