i like coming up w/ a sentence or two that says it all. here's my latest - feel free to make suggestions on it.

thanks,
sus

No matter what your reason, your son may not agree. Leaving him whole leaves the decision with him, the person with whom the decision belongs.

Good one!

I also like these:

"His body, his choice"

"The foreskin isn't the wrapper...it's the candy!"

"Circumcision is a solution looking for a problem."

"Does being a healthy male require surgical correction?"

"Violate his human rights, cause him tremendous pain, put him at risk, disfgure his penis, damage his sexual fuctioning and feelings, for what supposed benefits again??"

Cheers!

"Hang on... you want to do what to his what?"

A few years ago I coined a phrase that NOCIRC has used successfully (with my blessing):

"Today's Parents say NO to Circumcision"

"You would probably find a scar on your body ugly, so why give one to your son for no reason?"

I thought of one this morning; I hope it's not too snarky.

"Infant Circumcision: A choice of those who failed Penis 101"

(I also think it's Human Rights 101)

Sorry, I don't see how it is offensive. Pretty much everyone is aware by now that our planet is WAY overpopulated, that it has much more people that it can support and that the numbers keep growing every year. So it is very much of "a matter of fact" statement, something we just have to do as a specie in order to survive. Just like any anti-circ statement would be to some extend offensive to people who circ, just like any other pro-breastfeeding slogan would rub the wrong way those who formula-fed by choice, just like any pro-Obama bumper-sticker would irritate republicans, I guess the same way ANY statement will bother a certain group of people.

it's funny you said that, this is EXACTLY the kind of reaction I keep getting from European people when I tell them about circ in the US: "Hang on... Americans do what to baby-boys' what?!"
