At what point is it to late to give TIG after a puncture wound? My son got a cat bite a couple of days ago and I am freaking out. I don't think it was a deep bite but there is really no way to know with a cats long, thin sharp teeth.

At what point would you all consider TIG? I don't think I am really considering it right now, I am just curious about these things.

There really isn't one during the incubation period if tetanus is actually a concern. TiG binds free tetanospasmin (that which hasn't entered the nervous system), so to the extent any toxin is actually floating around, mopping it up can mitigate further damage.
