I posted a link to this on my Facebook page...and my sister-in-law, who I'm going to guess had her sons circed (they are in their early 20's now, both of them are married), posted a link to an article in Time magazine talking about how intact men cause cervical cancer. It was from 1954 for Pete's sake!
I pointed out that the info was quite dated and inaccurate...and she responded by posting a link to another site that was RABIDLY pro-circ (www dot circinfo dot net)...of course Schoen was one of the backers of the site...and said "well I guess that this site should settle the question." To which I felt I needed to point out how biased the site was. I did try to buffer my comments by acknowledging that I knew the subject was probably "difficult" for her since her sons were born at a time when the circumcision rate was likely over 95%.
I'm sure my response went over REALLY well...especially since said SIL and her hubby (husband's oldest brother) look down their noses at us anyway. Sheesh.
