Need suggestions, feeling overwhelmed :(

I'm just having one of those days and need to vent...
Make that one of those weeks. It's been so hard.

Our house has been full every day with my parents, in-laws, daycare kids, their parents.... we've been passing around a stomach bug which resulted in x-rays yesterday morning of dd's abdomen and chest.... and understandably dd has been on edge and pretty grumpy. There is no major problem, just a bunch of little ones that are ganging up on me!

Sometimes it's overwhelming to keep it all together and today I'm feeling the stress/pressure of being a mom, a home daycare provider, a wife, a daughter, a concerned person of our often-insane world. I can't even spend a moment thinking about the bp oil that i believe is still spilling into the ocean because it will be the straw that breaks this camel's back today.

What can I do when i feel like this?
I just took some deep breaths of the gorgeously fresh, just-rained air outside and that sort of helped.

Oh, poor Mama! No wonder you feel overwhelmed! Sounds like you need a break! I find when I am overwhelmed I just... succumb and surrender. Acceptance that things are just absolutely crap today and try and keep putting one foot in front of the other until you can (hopefully?) crash tonight.

It is SO hard to deal with days like you're having today! And please just don't even think about bp or stuff like that. Concentrate on just your little home today and nothing beyond.

Gooooood luck and hang in there. You are doing a great job!!!

Sending hugs your way.

Lose yourself and let go of reality with a good movie or book (maybe in a bubble bath?). Hugs mama, it's so hard juggling so much!

(((((CliffsideMama))))) Can you take a day off, really off, just to yourself (or with a dear friend, or with your partner?) Perhaps a trip to the spa, a walk in the woods. It sounds like its time to nurture yourself. xoxo

Thank you all.

Feeling much better today, and am grateful I have parents and in-laws that are in our lives as often as they are. THis long weekend has definately helped restore my calm too.

A spa day sounds heavenly and so does a walk in the woods.
