breech baby at 34 weeks

So I am due mid October and I realize there is still plenty of time for the baby to change positions. I am a freak though and have to think of every possible outcome and be as prepared as possible. We are planning a home birth and if the baby remains breech I am not sure how comfortable I am delivering at home. I have been seeing my midwife and my OB throughout this pregnancy and it was at my OB appointment today that we found out the baby is breech. He was really cool about it and told me that it was my choice to have the baby at home or not if he/she does not turn but he wouldn't suggest it. He wasn't being pushy or anything and was very clear that it's MY choice and that I should talk to my midwife. He also said he would be willing to do an external version for me if it came down to that and that he was willing to let me go into labor and then come in if I decided I did not want to have a breech baby vaginally. All these things make me feel better but I want to hear stories of breech home birth or read some credible articles or books about the pros and cons of delivering a breech baby vaginally. As of today I wouldn't have this baby at home and would end up with a c-section because no hospital will deliver breech. That would be my first choice actually, attempting to deliver my breech baby in a hospital where I would have access to help if I needed it. That isn't an option though. So I need some advice, some opinions, some good reading and most of all some positive thoughts that this baby just turns itself back around and I don't have to make any decisions.

No breech delivery stories for you, but my guy was breech at 34w, turned vertex around 35+2 with chiropractic/massage/inversions and then turned BACK to breech at almost 39w and back to vertex the next day. I think there's still a really, really good chance your little one will turn!

My cousin turned overnight and was born the next day.

My baby didn't stay turned until around 35 weeks. Good luck!

Oh, I know how stressful this is. All of your birth plans are suddenly on hold and you have to re think everything. I just wanted to let you know that I had an external version, and it went very well. It was not painful, it was just lots of pressure. I think if you get to 37 weeks and your baby has not turned, a version is the best way to go. I went into labor about 36 hours later. You could have the version, go home, wait for labor (3 hours to 3 weeks) and call your midwife, and have your homebirth.
