Proud mommy moment!!

So my DS is ridiculously adorable. And yesterday he was even more so!!

We went to a friends house, and DS fell in love with her son's doll stroller - he pushed it around forever! So she let us borrow it since they were going out of town for the weekend. When we got it home, I put one of his bears in it (I need to get him a doll and stroller - I'm going to try this weekend to find one!) so that he could push his bear around.

Then, we went down the elevator, and outside. When we got in the elevator, he leaned down and gave his bear a kiss !! I thought it was so sweet of him - and then I realized he was mimicking ME! I do that all the time when DS is in his stroller! LOL it was so funny! I love being a mom!

So cute!!! I love watching my DD interact with her baby dolls/stuffies too. She pats them and rocks them and gives them hugs and kisses. Sometimes she makes crying noises for them and then she scoops them up right away and kisses them and snuggles them.

I admit it never dawned on me that it was a reflection of my parenting until my Mom said that is how DD learned to do it, by acting out how I am with her. Pretty neat.

my almost 5 year old has been just amazing lately. last week he climbed into my bed to wake me up (it was time to get up, even!) and whispered in my ear 'mama, i think you're a rock star.' he's also told me that i'm the strongest lady he knows and the coolest mom out of all the moms of the kids at daycare. so my younger one hopped on the bandwagon and snuggled into my lap last night to tell me that i'm his best friend. my sons are wonderful. i love being their mama.

i really think that having the three of us be a little team has encouraged this atmosphere of affection and appreciation. it's another of the million or so reasons i love being a single mama.
