Cloth pull up idea, suggestions please

I want to make some pull ups for DS to wear overnight. I;'e got a pretty good idea of what I want but haven't found a pattern with all the features so I plan to wing it. Before I start I thought I'd see if anyone has any suggestions.

OK I want a pocket type pant, since drying time will be an issue.

What about the snaps, do you think they are needed too. I don't have anyway to fit the plastic ones so they would have to be sewn on. Would that even work on lycra.

For the outer part I have some ripstop nylon, for the lycra pannels I'm recycling a swimming costume. Any suggestions for the inner? I think I have some fleece around.

There are two good trainer patterns that I like that seem to have the features you might be looking for. My favorite of the two is the trimsies trainer pattern. The other pattern is the tinkle time trainers. You should be able to find the links to them via google.

My mom is the sewer, but she just did one up like antsypants. She found some of that stretchy side material and used aplix instead of snaps. It works wonderfully.
