anyone use either?
i am not sure if i should register for kushies or bumgenius for my newborn who is due this december so any advice would be awesome!

I haven't tried Kushies but I absolutely adore my BG's and would highly recommend those. The new 4.0s are really nice and they seem to have addresses the previous issues with the velcro and laundry tabs not sticking so well after a while. I have other diapers in my stash, but the BG are the ones I always grab first.

Kushies have a layer of vinyl and the interiors are cotton flannel. The cotton is soft and natural, but kind of bulky and not super absorbent, and vinyl in non breathable and I think contains pvc's? Bumgenius have PUL outers, which are more breathable, and microfiber inners, which are more trim and absorbent, but not "natural" (unless you buy the organic kind). Of the two, Bumgenius are much nicer, IMO.

Are you absolutely set on just those two, or just trying to register somewhere with only those as an option?

My advice would be to not register for either and go with Fuzzi Bunz instead. Or if you are set on those two, I'd get the BG 4.0 in snaps.

I am not set on anything! I just have read the most about those and seen the Kushies which I was impressed by.
ANY recommendations are welcome!
I am looking for easy to use for us and eventually our daycare, my parents, in-laws and others!

neither will be a great choce for a newborn, the kushies though do come in small sizes but there nt the best diapers out there. Bumgenius are nicer but can be really big on a newborn. Honestly I'd look for a sample CD package that allows you to try out several and get more of what works best for you.

My Kushies fell apart pretty quickly; the BGs lasted a lot longer. But yeah, pretty bulky on a little baby. The FB one-size are much trimmer on a wee one.

I LOVE my BG (I have AIO 3.0 and AIO Organic OS) and also love my Fuzzibunz too!

I'd have to recommend the FuzziBunz, too. We use them exclusively and love them! We have a mix of sized and one-size dipes and there are certainly pros to each. For newborns, I would recommend going with sized diapers, either x-small or smalls. I say this because, even though the OS will fit, the amount of fleece inside the diaper will be too much for a newborn, and would just bunch up and make the diaper bulky. Once your LO hits about 3 or 4 months, though, I'd totally do the OS. They're extremely adjustable and will fit your baby until they are 35+ lbs, and they're durable so they'd last through one or two more children (if that's something in your future). I'd recommend getting the new style, as their inserts are now 4 layer instead of the 3-layer they had on all the old styles. Before making a decision, you should check out their website www.fuzzibunz.com just to make sure you like what you see. Then if you DO decide to buy them, I recommend www.fuzzibunzstore.com, because they have free (and fast) shipping, and a rewards program so you can use the money you earn to buy other stuff like cloth wipes, or a sprayer, or more diapers, or whatever. Sorry for all the info, this is all just my opinion of course, but I figured the more info a person can get the better! I know I wish I'd found this forum before I had my LO!
