My son (2 1/2 years old) has been down to one nap now for over a year. I used to be able to put him down for a nap anywhere between 1 and 3 pm and he'd be fine. Now, it seems like if I don't have him down for a nap by 1, he doesn't take a nap at all. I know some children are time sensitive where you really can't be flexible with naptime but he's always been flexible. Yesterday, I put him down at 1:20 and he barely slept an hour AND he was very hard to put down! Usually he takes a 2 1/2 hour nap. Today, I put him down at 1:30 and after a LONG time he slept for 15 minutes. Is he really changing his nap time and his flexiblity for naps???? I'm having a hard time with this because I'm used to him being more flexible about this and it's going to be really hard for me if I have to be inflexible about his nap time. Has anyone had this issue before? And if so, was it a permanent change?
Thanks,
Christine
