Milk Allergy/Intolerance?

Can a child develop a milk allergy or intolerance or whatever it is called? The past month DS (14 months) has started almost spitting up after he drinks milk. Like a baby but it is like chunky curdled milk and it smells gross. I don't know how much sense that makes but it only really happens after he drinks milk...

I think food intolerances can become clearer over time, and I know that DS reacts more/quicker to the foods he's intolerant of if he consumes them more frequently--that's how I figured out soy and cashews. Is he consuming more cow's milk lately? Some folks add in cow's milk starting at 12 mos.

Try going off the dairy (all) for a weekish and then giving him some. It's definately possible. My dd's intolerances weren't apparent to me until I weaned her--I feel like the breastmilk sort of sheltered her reactions or her body from huge reactions. Then I weaned and things started to spiral out of control...she is dairy, gluten and egg intolerant.

If we have an allergist appointment coming up should I be messing with this? Or will it somehow skew the results?
