This poor dog! It is outside all day, every day. It cries, barks and squeals ALL FRICKING DAY. They used to let him in in the evenings... but haven't the last two nights. About an hour ago I heard his people out there yelling at him, and happened to look out the window. They have given their daughter a new puppy and the veteran dog had pounced on it. The owner jerked the dog up and held him by his collar in an aggressive chokehold for a minute. This new puppy is one of those tiny high dollar ones you can carry in your purse. Apparently the dog who has been living there, a cockerspaniel, wasn't cute enough? IDK. What I do know is that since they got the puppy their dog is now outside at night as well. The puppy is only out when the girl and her mother is.
What would you do? I feel that they have treated their dog with borderline neglect! They have already shown a refusal to really care for the dog they owned, and now have brought another into their household. What happens when they get sick of this puppy? Will they leave it outside on a leash all day as well? My baby will be born any day! I can't stand hearing this dog bark and cry and scream anymore! They only come outside to yell at it to shut up!!
Winter in the great plains is brutal! If they continue to leave this dog outside for 12 or more hours a day and all night I won't have to worry about the dog barking for much longer. It will freeze. (not exaggerating)
