I try so hard to be there for my friends

but when I need someone, no one can answer a call or a text.
It's not that I think that I am owed for the time I put in...it's just that I don't often need someone and when I do....seriously? no one?

Are you somehow trying to maintain friendships with needy people? I ask b'c its a pattern that I'd gotten into at one time... but I realized that I'd befriended several needy friends, then, like you, when I needed some time or something from them they were of course too wrapped up in their own issues to return calls, meet for lunch, etc. Anyway, I hope you get a return call or something, that does stink!

I think with a couple-others...probably bad timing or phones off...I probably shouldn't complain, I just needed a friend tonight and it all just struck me wrong.
I will say, that the last person on earth that I thought would listen came out and chatted for a little bit which shocked me...nice, though.

Its ok to complain a little... when you need a friend, you need a friend. Glad someone came out to be with you for a while.
