I have had a look on Amazon, but feel a bit overwhelmed by choice! Im particulary interested in teaching my 3.5 year old about Harvest as its getting into Autumn time now. So if anyone has any ideas for books on Autumn/harvest that would be great.

If there is a book that covers other festivals awell then that would be even better!

I'm even going to have a go at baking a harvest loaf! Lol!

Don't know if this is what you mean, but I like "Children Just Like Me: Celebrations"

I have been meaning to check out this book- it is supposed to cover the 8 major pagan holidays and is about raising kids in the goddess tradition-not sure how you feel about that, but again, it does offer suggestions for celebrating festivals if you are interested

Wow, thank you both so much, definitely going to get both of those!!

We're growing our own pumpkins for Halloween, so will be lovely to read to him about it.
I don't know if its different here in the UK, but I always remember school at this time of year, when we'd learn about the harvest festival, and we'd all bring in food to give to local eldery people, brings back a warm feeling, so I'm hoping to re-create that for my little boy. Hence the loaf making, we can donate it to friends/family!

I am in a really positive frame of mind regarding home schooling, I know he's only 3.5 so its still read, read, read, play, play, play but I am getting so much inspiration for things I think he'd love to learn about, and ID love to teach

Thanks for the book ideas

LOVE LOVE LOVE Circle Round

Also Family, Food & Festivals

Both of those were highly recommended when I was doing my Waldorf research and I got them both. CR does come at it from a nature-goddess-Pagan perspecive. FFF is more 'mainstream?' and maybe from a more Catholic orientation what with all the saints and such. Together I think these books give much to work with and plan for.
