Triangle Mamas - Let's Go To the Zoo!!

So the fabulous weather this weekend has got me thinking it's about time for a zoo trip. I know it's getting hot and humid again this week but maybe in a few weeks fall will be here for good. So, shall we try to pick a date maybe late Sept or early Oct??

I'm good for any day but Thursday...

Who's in?!?

ETA: Heading to the zoo on Friday the 24th!!

I can do a Monday or Friday, and we have a membership that can get one additional adult in free.

So unless anyone interested has serious objections, sounds like Friday is a winner! Maybe Sept 24 or Oct 1 - any thoughts?

Sounds fun but I can't make it on a weekday, Amina is in school and I couldn't go without her. So I guess we won't make it.

I can't really do a weekday, but maybe we could do a Saturday trip sometime, too! That way those who have older kids in school, or who are working during the week, or whatever else, can go!

Subbing, in the hopes that we would be able to go. It depends...but we may be able to make it. However, we would almost definitely be able to do a Saturday! That would be awesome.

The zoo is in Asheboro which is about 1.5-2 hours away depending on where in the triangle you are (and how fast you drive!). It's a pretty straight shot down 64 if you are in the Raleigh area (although I typically go 85 to 49 to 64 since I'm in N. Durham).

It sounds like the 24th is a go for lots of folks so should we make it a date?

I'm also possibly game for a Sat trip if folks want to suggest a date.

Are we going to aim to be there at the opening time? I think 9am? Also, should we attempt to park in the same lot? Last time was a little confusing!
