1 year old biting nipples until they bleed

My 1 year old has been biting me over the last week or so, and now both nipples have wounds on them. I just tried to breast feed her again, and she bit so hard I cried for a few minutes It hurts! I take her off and set her on the floor as soon as she does it, but that is clearly not working What should I do? I guess I am going to pump for the rest of the day and see if she can go back on it tonight. To top it off, our 5 yr old is sick, and I am starting to feel sick today, so I would love to pass on my antibodies to the baby through the breastmilk to help her in case she gets sick.

Any suggestions on what to do to stop this? What to put on my breasts to make them feel better?

I would tell her to stop biting!! I know that she is "1 yr" but she will understand. It is OK to stop and then start again.

My ds has bitten me that hard too mama Hes bitten me hard enough to bleed and given me blood blisters too

Try some cold packs to help with the pain and soreness, and you can also try a rinse with warm salt water a few times a day until there isnt an open wound to try to stop them from getting infected. That actually feels pretty soothing too.

as for getting her to stop, I dont have a lot of help, I'm trying to figure it out too, ds goes on a bitting spree every time he is getting a new tooth. Is your lo teething by chance?
