Thanks for listening Problem is solved and I guess I just needed to vent, lol. DH had a dream last night that I had the baby while he was at work, and called him afterwards. He wants me to accept the loan for the midwife, and he wants to be involved. He doesn't want to miss it. Looks like my threat to do it with or without him worked. Thanks for listening ladies, I am prob going to jump over to the homebirth forum... maybe I will get a "midwife present, but still unassisted" birth I told her thats what I want anyways. She's there for emergencies and DH's peace of mind

I would not go the dishonest route. It could turn around and cause you problems, hostility from others, or anger from those around you.

You say you don't have money for the midwife, but is there anything you can sell or anything you can do-babysitting, housecleaning, asking family for a loan, get a loan from a bank ($600 would be no problem if you have anywhere near ok credit), or anything? I would keep trying to find the money before I would lie to my husband about it.

He refuses to borrow money, my moms boyfriend has offered to loan it to us, and since I don't work, I can't take it without his okay, and we can't get a loan because of credit and because my husband refuses to borrow money. I am trying to do things to earn money, but with 2 kids, and no babysitter (and DH works 12 + hours a day, so he can't watch them), I can't. I also have an incompetent cervix, so doing anything except take care of the kids and house is not okay, even though that is hard too.

I keep trying to talk to him about it and he refuses! He just said, to me tonight, "whats there to talk about, the baby is going to come out. Why do we even have to pay for this, just go to the hospital, its FREE!"
