Anyone else (20 weeks) getting those annoying Braxton Hicks?

I'm 20 weeks, have been feeling Braxton Hicks on occasion since about 14 weeks. The doctor says that's not as unusual as most people think. They were never really more than an annoyance. But lately, I've been getting Braxton Hicks alot, at least every other day, and some of them really hurt! (Yes, I'm 100% positive that it's not preterm labor or anything like that, just really bad Braxton Hicks.) Is anyone else getting them this early, also?

One other question... is there any relation between a woman having lots of Braxton Hicks and a woman actually going into labor early? I never had Braxton Hicks with my first child, so this part of pregnancy is new to me.

This is my first pregnancy, so I don't have a lot in the way of comparison. But I'm 21 weeks, and in the last few days I've been having a lot of B-H. I think I'm feeling them a lot more lately because my belly has definitely grown a bunch lately and I've also been having a lot of round ligament pain and stretchy belly feelings - sometimes it's hard for me to tell the difference between stretchy feelings and B-H and gas. I think I'm experiencing all three, and so it makes it seem like there's just a whole lot going on in my general baby belly area lately.

Also I know I have been slacking in drinking a ton of water (we had a bit of cooler weather, and I'm sure that contributed to me drinking less), and that can intensify the ctx, as well.

I am around 19 weeks and I feel them and have a for a few weeks. This is my 6th pregnancy and I can tell you that they have always been pretty common for me at this point.

I never had them with my DD. With this pregnancy they started around 16 weeks. I have them several times a day...sometimes they are definitely uncomfortable. My doc didn't seem worried when I mentioned them.

I have no idea what it means beyond that!

Lots here at 19 weeks. Any exertion, a change of position, DTD, lack of hydration, Yup. I had them from 5 mos on with my first, all thru with my second, and this time no different. In terms of effecting preterm labor...my first was a few days before my due date, 2nd was a week after, so in my experience - nothing to worry about.

god yes, any time i am active (even mildly active). it's painful due to some fibroids i have so i do a lot of laying down. i know it's harmless, it just hurts. i'm just shy of 21 weeks and it's been happening for quite a while now.

I had a lot of BH with both of my pregnancies. They never really bothered me; they made me feel happy that my body was preparing itself for labor. I had two quick, fairly easy births. With my first, I kept asking my MW when do I push? I thought it had to be like in the movies, counting to ten and pushing til veins popped out of my head. She said, your body's doing it! My uterus was so strong, it pushed my baby out all on it's own! I don't think you have anything to worry about. Your body's just getting a little workout!
