party crafts for 7yo?

i am trying to come up with birthday party ideas. last year we used fabric markers and made tshirts. this was affordable enough because of only 6 girls in attendance.

any ideas for party crafts—not too expensive, something that can be ready to bring home after 2 hours or less? (remembering a painting project that was not by any means dry when guest had to leave....not so good)
