Ok, so I tried making my own yogurt yesterday from some milk I had that I felt was about to turn. I heated up my milk, and was only using 2-3 cups, but I am not sure if I got it quite to the 185 degrees the directions said. Then when I put in the starter yogurt I put in the whole 6oz cup instead of just a few tablespoons. So maybe it is all my fault the yogurt came out weird
But anyhow, the yogurt tastes pretty good and is not super-runny but it does have tiny chunks in it, like teeny tiny cottage cheese. That's what it tastes like to me anyway. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else, or if someone knows what would cause that.
