Question for covered Muslim Moms

We will be soon going to dinner at a friend's home. She's from Saudi Arabia and wears her head covered outside. We haven't yet been to her home.

Will she likely wear the head cover while me, DH and DD are there for dinner?

Would she wear it if it were just me and her visiting at her home?

Just wondering what the custom is.

She will most likely keeps her head covered even while in her home. The religion ask for covering a woman's hair while in company of non-muhrim (in this case, your husband whom she could marry if she and him were singles). I am not sure if she would cover her head if it's just you and her. Some do and some don't in this case.

Yes, she will keep her hair covered in front of your husband because he is a male who is not a relative (or her husband lol). If just you came over, she doesn't have to keep her hair covered....but some of us do keep our hair covered while friends are over...just so we don't have to do our hair LOL
(at least that's why I would keep it on). But probably she would take it off if just you were there.

It's not an incovenience though, Muslim women are used to that all that time.

Thank you for the explaination. We have a Muslim Mom at the bus stop (actually quite a few in our complex). I was curious about this as well. The two daughters of course do not. But they are 6 and 4ish.
