I'm generally just planning a little more structure this year. Specifically, and always leaving open the possibility that I'll change things up, that means:
Daily
Going for a walk or playground time right after breakfast. (This accomplishes both exercise/fresh air and preventing me from "settling in" for the day.)
Doing at least some reading and math/logic (could be puzzles) each with dd1 and ds2. My current plan is to read a "We Both Read" book with one of them, while the other does some math - they've both requested workbook type math - and then switching.
Weekly
One semi-major outing. That will mean Science World, the local Aquarium, the zoo, the honeybee center, or one of a number of other things. On these days, I think we'll skip the math/reading, and just do our walk...unless the outing is something physical.
Arts and crafts day. I want this to be a project based thing the same day every week, with some free craft time, as well.
Library day. I may make this biweekly, instead - haven't decided yet.
Classes. Currently, this means a ballet class for dd1, and another dance class (based on Stomp!) for ds2. I'll be adding piano for dd1, and rock climbing for ds2, if I can fit them in.
Biweekly
Local homelearners meet-up (mostly social). I'm kind of coordinating it right now, and it may not get back off the ground, but we're working on it.
Trip to the farm down the road. This may end up being slightly less frequent, though. It used to be a weekly trip, but dd1 is a little less enthusiastic than she used to be.
Possibly library day.
And...yeah...not sure what else. We'll still have a few afternoons a week of free time, which will probably end up being partially filled by an assortment of games, puzzles and mini science experiments and such.
I'm trying to keep things loose, because that's what suits me best, but still provide at least some structure. I've kept it too loose over the last couple of years.
