DD is only 8 months, and I'm not due with the next one for 7 or 8 months, so maybe I'm worrying for nothing but...

I'm assuming that I want to night wean. My babies have nursed all throughout the night, and I can't imagine a newborn leaving any time for a toddler to nurse at night. Do most tandem nursers nurse only one at night?

Also, I have no recollection of when my now 6 year old night weaned. Is it common for a baby to not be nursing at night by 16 months, so that I won't have to "do" anything, but can expect it to just happen by then?

It's so hard for me to plan right now because I'm planning for something that's going to happen when she's 16 months, but I keep thinking of her as she is in present time--8 months. So I think, how could I possibly night wean her--it's the only thing she wants when she wakes up several times a night!

I'd love to hear anyone else's experiences.
