Great on-line resources/patters/instructions for making a sling

Hello! I am going to attempt making a sling for our baby due in January. I thought that if anyone would know the best websites with patterns etc. it would be you ladies! I haven't sewed before - but I just got a sewing machine given to me and have a few projects I want to try. I thought that a sling would probably be a fairly simple place to start. Needless to say, I would love some really simple (fool proof) instructions, preferably with pictures.

I have a moby wrap, but was thinking of a ring sling for this one. Is a ring sling easier than a fitted one?

So far I have found:
http://www.mayawrap.com/n_sewSling.php
and
http://www.mykarmababy.com/pages/BabySlingPattern.php

Any other recommendations?

TIA!

Jan has some great instructions on her SleepingBaby site. There is also a DIY forum on thebabywearer.com, where you can post questions, and look at pics.

Ring slings are super easy to make, just be sure to buy good rings, from slingrings.
