Sore Cervix... Normal Or Cause For Concern?

I might have had this with DS I don't recall. All I remember with him was my bbs were sore as heck and I was throwing up twice a day, LOL.

Anyway, I'm I don't know something like 5-7 weeks (I'm guessing closer to 6-7 than 5) pregnant.

Cervix is sore - mostly when sitting on this PC (which bites, as I work on the PC) It varies between a somewhat duller bruised like ache to something a bit stronger like a somewhat mild to medium cramp. It also kinda feels somewhat like af cramping at times.

I've noticed if I change position like lie down on side it's better for a while. But then it starts up again a bit later, so I switched to back and so on. It kinda comes and goes.

Is this normal at the weeks I'm at? Or is it a side effect from bding a bit too much and or deep the last 3 nights and I just need to be more careful?

I've looked online and most what I find is related to something like 20-30 weeks, but not much is geared toward this early.

Would this be effected by any infections (Yeast or anything I may have and not be aware of? Possibly constipation issues? Though I've been going, I do feel I may be somewhat backed up as well)

Is it just the regular stretching and making room for baby routine going on? I'm going to aim for a apt later in the week, just want to be sure it's nothing serious or anything first.

I would guess it's not actually your cervix that's sore, but rather the muscles supporting it and your uterus. The whole pelvic floor, to be exact.

And, yes, I think it's normal. Probably irritated by activity (of any sort). Although, I think hormones can do it. The best course is to just rest on your left side as much as possible. Try to let all your muscles heal and rest. The ones supporting the baby will recover and tighten and then it won't hurt so much.

You are probably right about the pelvic floor. I can't really pinpoint what's sore it kinda moves where the pain is.

I'll be sure to rest up today and try to lie on left side more for sleep as well. I do remember that's best as it delivers nutrients to baby as well.

Thanks Just1More.
