Midwife told us to CIO

My husband took our DS to his well baby clinic yesterday and the midwife (one of the midwives but not my midwife) told us that at 3 months he should be sleeping through the night and that we needed to let him CIO.

Seriously!?! I'm super shocked and left wondering if this is what the rest of the midwifery group believes. I have 3 more free baby clinics and I'm not sure I want to use anymore of them.

My baby isn't going to be left alone to cry. Poor buddy.

Well, I guess that you need to hold the midwife to the same standard as many on this board hold their Ped:

Medical advice is OK...but parenting advice is not welcome. And if you do go to the next appointment I would bring some literature about CIO and give someone a piece of my mind.
