Is too MUCH movement a bad thing??? - Page 2

Even if it was true-- there isn't anything anybody could do about it. So why worry?

That said-- DD2 was my most active in-utero baby, out of my three. She was an easy infant, has always been a great self-soother, and handles frustration better than most three year olds do. She's not particularly physically active-- probably about average.

DD1 is my high-strung, no-tolerance-for-frustration, stressed-out kiddo. She wasn't particularly active in the womb, though.

I don't know-- I think there are a zillion variables that go into this, and (meaning nothing towards you of course ) that it's silly to spend time worrying about it.

Its not really that Im worried, just extreamly intrigued by why we are the way we are, when we start influencing ourselves, and becoming aware of outside influences and how they effect us (or how we let them). And I do agree that to an extent there is something we can do about the impressions our children recieve in there early moments. And I also believe that if something goes out of our control there are things we can do to address it.

Environmental conditioning is a fact I believe, but we get to a point when we realize we also effect our environment.

Im guessing any study that produces evidence of tempermant in utero translating to later tempermant would be really hard to define because of all the seen and unseen variables of each individual woman and surrounding circumstances.

Personally for me, one of my focuses with my child will be to stay completely in tune with how its percieveing the world around. And help to foster a state of harmony and balance. I want to equip my child with the ability to step back and see its own actions as a variable and force in this world.

I think my time as a nanny for a boy with autism really helped me tune into childrens frequencies because he DEMANDED it or I was not given the time of day.
