Our Social Worker comes at 11. Along with the inspection, she will talk with each of our kids privately and finish anything she didn't get from our interviews.

I hope it goes well!

What did you guys do with your can of gasoline for the lawn mower? you can't lock it in a closet...

I'd put it up high if you can't put it in a locked cabinet in the garage (or shed.) Then lock your garage.

Good luck.

Good luck!

Our SW didn't go near the garage or the basement. He took a maybe 30 second tour of the house.

Congrats on it going well! I'm curious about what kind of questions the SW asked your children. I didn't realize they would have to be home and interviewed - though, it makes sense.

The kids said she asked a little about how they felt about the adoption, about house rules, and asked what I do when they get in trouble (basically, I don't remember the wording). It was 5 minutes maybe.

When she asked my older daughter if she got in trouble a lot, DD (who will be 13 in a few weeks) said "Well, there ARE a lot of hormones flying around here!"

about your DD. Thanks for answering. I figured that was it, I just hadn't thought about my LO's being interviewed separately. I'd be comfortable with it, but it's still good to know.
