birth of #2 after #1 was induced?

I had to be induced at 37 weeks with DS. I am wondering, since as of now I am low-risk and will be able to have a spontaneous labor-will this affect my second labor? As in, the tendancy for subsequent births to be shorter(though I know this is not always the case, and every labor is different.)
With my son there were lots of interventions-cervadil, foley balloon, breaking of waters, then pitocin. In total it was about 30 hours. I did manage to deliver vaginally.
I guess I am wondering, since my labor was brought on, and by numerous methods at that, will my body still be familiar with the labor process and possibly move things along more quickly, or should I basically be prepared for a first-time kind of labor?
Part of my worry is that our hospital is 1.5 hours from here! (Since #1 was high risk with a condition that often repeats in other pregnancies, I did not want to switch OB's when we moved.)

Please tell me your experiences!

Not speaking from personal experience, but I don't see why things wouldn't progress normally as if you hadn't been induced with your first. Your body knows what to do (even if it hasn't done it before which yours has) and you've pushed a baby out....so it very well could be a quicker labor. Or not, but not because you were induced, just because that's how this labor will be.

Happy laboring when the time comes!

Well, my first TWO were induced, so I don't know if that will strengthen or weaken my anecdote.

First, I'll say that #2's induction was much, much easier and shorter than #1's. She also "cooked" a week longer than #1.

#3 was completely spontaneous and nearly textbook in its progression.

There's no reason (that I'm aware of) to think that a previous induction will confuse your body when it comes to natural labor.

With DS1 I was induced a few days past 40 weeks, not for medical reasons but because of my limited maternity leave. Cervadil, Pitocin, Epidural, Episiotomy.

With DS2 I got to 41w2d and no sign of labor. He was induced because of some unfavorable results of a biophysical profile. All I needed was one round of Cervadil and it sent me into a fast labor. No other interventions took place.

I was induced at 38 weeks for IUGR (now looking back I don't think induction was at all necessary...but that's another post)

I had pitocin and AROM and eventually an epidural. It was about 10 hours total.

For DD2, I had a spontaneous natural birth at 39+4 in 8 hours. So YES your body can do it and will know exactly what to do when the time comes.

DS1 was induced at 39 weeks because we were preparing to evacuate. I was 6 cm dilated (had preterm labor with him) and he was induced via AROM, labor took about 9 hours from AROM with 3 hours of active labor.

My 2nd, 3rd and 4th labors were all precipitous - 2 hours for DD1 and DD2, less than half an hour for DS2. Simple, uncomplicated births, fantastic and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
