So Nauseous--Ideas?

Yikes--with #1 & 2 I had mild-moderate nausea around this time (7 weeks) but this week has been awful for nausea and it's constant. I just want to lie around and not move (which of course is impossible!). I can eat, but mostly crave carbs or orange juice. Ginger tea isn't doing the job. Any natural ideas for curing nausea? Thanks!

As unappetizing as it might sound, I didn't feel better until I started eating more protein. It really turned things around for me. My blood sugar is very tempermental when I'm pg, so I think protein helps keep it stable and helps me not feel so cruddy.

Yup, check this out. It works if you can force them down (I had to, because they didn't sound good at all).

Milk thislte capsules and a liquid vitamin b complex has made a world of difference this pregnancy. 9 weeks and the nausea is extremely mild compared to last time.

Carbs help me, citrus is always nice (lemon water, lemonade, lemon slush, etc), and I ditto B6!

You could also try the accupressure SeaBands, though I never have.

I'm hating mint right now but loving cinnamon. Hard candies can help take the edge off.

Carbs make it worse for me. Ginger tea doesn't help me at all but nibbling on crystallized ginger helped a whole lot. I kept a bag in my purse at all times so I could pinch off a little piece and eat it if I started to feel woozy.

I put a little lemon or grapefruit juice in my water because the citrus helps a lot, as a PP mentioned....just be careful not to overdo it or you get heartburn. Isn't pregnancy fun??

Try fruit smoothies, too, for a little extra nutrition.

Me too! It made so much sense to me. She also addresses gallbladder problems, but you need to eat 3 cups of beans spread out 6 times a day for 6-8 weeks. While difficult to eat so many beans, the lack of GB attacks and misery makes it oh, such a blessing! There's nothing like wondering if you'll be in surgery today, everyday. Bye bye attacks!

I did use seabands and thought they helped a good bit!

Carbonated water makes me feel better as does salty food.

I also read the other day that red raspberry leaf tea is also good for nausea!! Some women avoid it during the 1st trimester, but I personally think it's probably fine (unless you feel weird after drinking it!).
