Do you consider carriers gender specific? - Page 2

No really, as i view carriers as *my* accessories, not the baby's. My mei tai is pink but I wear DS in it. DH wears the BEco which is brown and cream (the river print) and it has flowers and butterflies on it.

Of all the wraps I have had (many, many) they have mainly been gender neutral. My fave is yew which is green.

I just buy stuff I like
It just so happens that I almost always prefer gender neutral so that is what I have! I have a two sided babyhawk and one side is green and blue stripes and the other is more girly I guess with leaves? but its just LEAVES and its also greens and blues. the structure is chocolate.

But, I also don't match my diaper bag to the sex... I have a green bag right now. Kiddo also wore a LOT of gender neutral and even some 'boy' things when she was little because I loved all the green and frogs. Obviously I have a love for green!

It doesn't bother me. I once actually had a whole conversation about my son. Some woman started talking to me and I don't like to correct by saying things 'oh she's a girl,' I just correct by using appropriately places she's and her's and of course her name which isn't gender neutral. I never had the opportunity for any of it so some stranger woman walked away thinking I had a boy I thought it was hilarious! It certainly didn't hurt kiddo any.

I'm currently trying to find her some dinosaur stuff. It is all boyish so... she's probably going to get some 'boy' clothes She loves dinosaurs though and I love encouraging things she likes. I couldn't care less if strangers think she is a boy or a three headed alien.

My sling is pink and white Hawaian type-flowers.... I have two boys

If people question it, I say, "Well, I'm a girl, and I'm wearing it!"
