Favorite Health and Healing Books?

When Ladybug was 6 months we stopped vaccinating her. She had been on schedule up till then and we still aren't sure if we'll continue at some point in time on a delayed schedule or not.

She's 2 now and cold and flu season is upon us. This made me realize that aside from my homeopathy and a medical reference I really don't have any other medical books. I've come to realize that although I love it, I'm not entirely proficient with homeopathy and I don't always have the right remedy on hand, so I need other resources. Nor do I always have access to the internet.

What are your favorite medical books? General, kid specific, non-vax "if your kids gets sick" reference types, adult health, herbal, alternative anything really. I'm trying to build up our home library both for personal study and to have them at my fingertips when someone gets sick.

These look great I've been wanting the first one for ever now and it is so out of my price range!

The other two, though, I can get with swagbucks!

I love Kate Birch's book. I find it to be incredibly thorough. However there is a newer edition with additional info so if you were going to go for it, I'd say do the second edition.

Beyond that the books liked are good. For homeopathy I prefer Vinton McCabe's Practical Homeopathy to the Ullman/Cummings book for myself, but both are good. I really really really like Your Vital Child.

If you like homeopathy I'd also strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with the cell salts which are fabulous and easier to use. This is a pretty good one that covers quite a bit. All you need to have on hand are 12 remedies (in stark contrast to homeopathy.)
