Hi Ladies,

I'm going to buy my first diaper bag this weekend and was considering a Petunia Pickle Bottom Glazed Diaper Bag. Does anyone have one of these? Love it? Hate it? Any other recommendations?

Thanks!

Personally, I love my PPB bag... my mom bought it for me so I am not sure I would have spent that money on it myself! But I do get a ton of compliments on it! It is big but it is SO useful and totally cute. That is my 2 cents.

I LOVE my Fleurville diaper bag! I have the Sling Tote in a pattern that isn't sold anymore. It's literally the perfect size for me, and it's very fashionable. Everyone thinks it's a purse, and I can easily see myself using it as such when my kids are out of diapers. It's very easy to clean, and very sturdy. And I like that it's made from recycled materials! I got it for around $30 and would have spent twice that to get one!

I thought it was too bulky.
I really like my Jujube Packabe.
It converts from a back pack to a messenger or shoulder bag, which has been really useful for baby wearing.
I find the size is just right for me, and even have room to spare at times.
I'm cloth diapering and can fit enough for a day out and even get a rolled up
ergo baby carrier in there (when I'm not using it to carry my boy).
That said I've seen some reviews for it where cloth diapering mamas said it wasn't big enough for them.
I would recommend finding somewhere to see it in person so you can get a feel for it. That is how I chose not to get the PPB, it was so bulky I couldn't walk down the isle of the store without banging into stuff (a problem I have not had with the Jujube)
Good luck

This is the style of have- although not this print http://www.petuniapicklebottom.com/c...eaonthethames/

I think the backpack is awesome and really have loved having it while baby wearing as she is on the front. Whatever bag you decide to get, a backpack style is important, imo, especially if you are planning on wearing her a lot in a wrap/ergo/sling.

I have this PPB boxy backpack.

It's really beautiful.

I'm not big on diaper bags, in general, so it usually stays in the car and I just toss a diaper and wipes into my purse.

Thanks for the feedback!

I went to look at them in a store near me and I love that it can be worn as a backpack, shoulder bag, or messenger bag! This is great because I will be using a wrap/carrier for quite a while and want to be as hands free as possible. I also love that it has the plastic so you can just wipe it off to keep it clean. There were so many color options I thought I would come home and think about it and decide by the weekend.

littlgreenlady - I saw a really nice one by Jujube as well but I wasn't sure if it was going to be large enough. I really liked that it was very lightweight though!

I have the PPB Shoulder bag and it is sooo awesome for lugging around a heap of cloth diapers. I also love the way the change pad zips and and flips. So convenient.

I have a JuJuBe (be prepared I think) also and I love it. The construction and materials are all great quality. I got mine on the FSOT section of their website.

I have a Haiku diaper bag and LOVE it. It carries everything we need and is stylish.

Bought my PPB bag when ds1 was 9 months old. He's now 6.5 and the bag is on baby #4 . It's held up remarkably well and has been washed many times. I've been gifted other bags that I always try out and I always go back to my PPB. Good investment, imo!

Jjb!!!

i highly rec JJB bags. i researched diaper bags like crazy & tried so many different ones. JJB puts so many smart touches...easy to see inside, great, item specific pockets throughout including insulated ones on the outside of all bags for mama's drink or sippy cups, memory foam changing pad, crumb drains etc.

i finally caved & bought one after watching the videos on their website over & over-got the new BFF for everyday use & it's perfect. has grab handle, messenger style strap AND backpack straps.

i also purchased 2 be quicks in 2 diff patters-1 for each DD. (had their names embroidered on them too) & keep their extra outfits & items in each. besides keeping the inside of the bag even more organized, it makes it easy to switch to a diff bag quickly, and when they are older-they each get a bag with their name on it.

i checked out PPB & many others & just felt that they didn't offer as much for the $. i like organization, being able to see things/access them easily. JJB really has the design down.

I have a PPB and it's just too heavy! I end up grabbing a lightweight cloth shoulder bag cause the PPB bag is heavy before I even put anything in it. And given I'm also wearing the baby, it's too much for me. I need to find a more lightweight bag.

Also, I received this lightweight backpack/diaper bag as a gift yesterday which I think will be great for quick trips when I don't need much and it even has insulated pockets for hot or cold items!
