VBAC in Tucson - help!

Hi. I'm new here and have a question. I recently found out I'm pregnant with baby #2. My DD is 9 months old and was born via c-section. The local hospital here has a VBAC ban so my only option is the go to Tucson (80 miles) away to have a VBAC. I've heard Dr. Maciulla is a great doctor will take VBAC patients, however, I'd like a doctor with a local office. The OB group I found with a local office attends births at TMC, but so far I don't know if they will accept VBAC patients. I'm hoping someone hear knows something about the docs at the Obstetrix Group in Tucson. Thanks!

well I went with them for my VBAC they did not let me go past 41 weeks then they take you for a repeat c-section, this is what happened to me. However, I had hypertension which is why I accepted it at 41 weeks. They would not induce so you would either go into labor on your own and I woulod suggest maybe drive down and get a hotel room till you want to head in or they will confront you with a RCS, from my understanding most hospitals in Tucson are under this policy, you can always refuse which I am sure you know, I am just not sure if they withdrwl care at such point, they are quite carefull and otherwise pretty profesional. Also since its a group you will mostlikely never meet the OB that will have to support you when you go in for labor, during materinity the Midwifes are taking care of you there you rarely see the OBs that deliver. Other than that which seems to be a general thing in Tucson so you will find it also at UMC....they are professional and TMC was a great place, care was good for MOM and Baby
