I just got a Baby K'tan. They advertise that you can nurse in it (and generally do kangaroo care) and that it distributes the weight over both shoulders and your back. Still waiting for DS to arrive so I can't tell you how well this works in practice.

They have a video on how to wear the sling Kangaroo style with a newborn at http://www.babyktan.com and videos for the other 8 positions at http://www.babyktanvideo.com

I think we may get one of these for DH since it looks pretty good on a man, too, as long as its black or green or some manly color.

The main issue with the Baby K'tan is that it is a sized item (sized to your pre-pregnancy dress size, they say) and picking the right one can sometimes be challenging. Their website says that they want you to be wearing the right size so they will swap with you if you got the wrong size (or something to that effect.) Mine is a small since I'm 5'3" and was not an 8 or a 10 before my pregnancy, but right in the middle. The box says to go smaller in that case, so I did. It feels a bit short/tight when I'm using a teddy bear as my baby, but the teddy bear weighs nothing so it won't stretch the fabric like a real baby would. I tried putting 8 lbs. of cans in the sling, which definitely dropped it lower, but wasn't at all baby shaped so it was also awkward. Plus, since I'm still pregnant the whole thing doesn't lay quite right. I'm going to wait until we have DS and try him in it - if it's still feeling small, I will contact them.
