How Many BHX Are You Having These Days?

It seems like mine have drastically increased over the past week. I have been sick and coughing a lot, so maybe that has caused the increase, but I am more than hydrated. It seems like needing to go to the bathroom causes them (and that happens a lot when I am well hydrated) and so does shifting around in bed.

Are you seeing an increase?

A LOT! Probably at least on the hour. A full bladder sets mine off, too. As does laying on my back, moving wrong...and a million other things.

Mine have actually decreased to maybe once every other day or every third day. But I'm compulsively drinking and peeing lately, lol. It's almost as though I'm on an oral IV, and I make it a point to pee nearly every time I pass a bathroom (which is a lot in this house).

I swear I can bring one on by just thinking about it. I'm having loads of them recently. It certainly makes driving interesting. They can be pretty tight, but not sore thankfully. But it certainly is enough to grab my full attention while it's going on.

All of them.

had a pretty massive one while I was getting sutured up today after a mole removal.

otherwise, they are very infrequent still...

A lot, especially when I stand up from sitting position and when I push DD's stroller a lot (so multiple times a day). Plus I've been feeling a lot of pressure down low. It's kind of freaking me out!

None at all. But I've never really gotten any noticeable ones with all of my pgs. So I'm not really expecting that to change this time around. I'm assuming they're happening but they're just not bad enough to notice.

None here lately. I had a few bhx here and there a couple weeks ago. Strange because I had them all the time with my last two pregnancies!

im 24 wks and i think i have maybe felt like 3 or 4 bxh...but i cramp alot and all the dr says is that its cause this is my 5th baby...and they get worse with each baby you have...

Wow...now I'm a little worried! I know I've been having a ton...but I had a lot with my last pregnancy, too. I think that you notice them more in subsequent pregnancies than with your first. But they haven't been painful and I haven't noticed any other changes, so...just super annoying.

I'm also just getting over a crazy stomach virus and had to go get an iv, so I was pretty dehydrated. That probably contributed.

I think the worst is probably in the shower...for some reason, that warm running water sets my uterus off like no other....

I haven't noticed any yet. So I guess that's good, because it doesn't sound terribly comfortable. Watch. I'll be in promodal labor for weeks just for saying that!

That's the only part I find comfortable about BH....they say that the more you have, the more toned and "ready" your uterus is- that the "practice" helps. I'm sure that's not so for everyone, but it was for me! With DD, no prodromal labor at all, I only was in labor for 4 hours total, pushed DD out in 15 minutes. Here's hoping for the same with this LO!

Oh, and I am a *huge* RRL drinker...I know it doesn't *cause* BH, but it I wonder if it makes them more noticeable....

I haven't had any lately although about a week ago I was having them every 20 minutes on and off for 3 days!

Now that I am over my cold they happen less often, thankfully. The baby does seem to love laying in a way the kills the right side of my lower back, I guess it was a trade off.

I don't think I've felt any of these yet...I assume I'll know it when I do?

I didn't feel any until my third pregnancy, and sometimes I didn't know I was having one unless I happened to put my hand on my abdomen and realized that the entire thing was hardened.

Sometimes breathing feels tight when I am having one. It isn't painful, it just feels different.

Thanks for this thread! I had no BHX with DD, or I just had no idea what was going on, but three days ago I had to sit down when I had one. WOW. I wasn't sure what was going on, and then I thought about it and thought it had to be BHX. I have increased my walking lately perhaps that has something to do with it, or perhaps it is because this LO sits so low, really low. At times, I worry that the baby is going to fall out!

None.

This is #5 for me, and I never feel a contraction -- til I'm in labor.
